Domestic Hot Water Control & Steam Boiler Control

Boiler Control Systems by Heat-Timer. In the world of steam and hot water boiler control systems, Heat Timer has the largest and most versatile line of automated heating control products in the world. Typical applications for our systems include:

Flow Balance Valve Location: Supply or Return Side of

Flow balance valves placed on the return side will result in higher water pressures within the coil, which means that more air will remain in the solution and out of the coil (see Figures 1 and 2). In each figure, the coil pressure drop is 20 ft. Note that the flow balancing effect of the valve …

I want to replace water flow control valve inside body

I want to replace water flow control valve inside body of old zone valve in my boiler hot water house heating system. I think this is called an "Actuator" (electrically operated valve). Original thermostats are Honeywell. Probably zone valves are, too. Over thirty years old. One zone valve (Zone 2 for upstairs) works fine, no leaks.

You can scroll back up to our section on using boiler controls and thermostats for our expert tips to help you save money. No motorised valves and automatic bypass valve. In essence, both of these control the flow of water from the boiler, making sure that it's not using more hot water than is needed.

How to Select a Pressure Relief Valve Flow Contr

One is the safety or pop off valve that opens completely when the set pressure is reached, diverting all, or almost all, of the flow out the discharge port of the valve. An example of this type of relief valve, made of metal, is found on hot water heaters to protect them from damage should steam form inside the heater and cause overpressurization.
